Powered largely by the success of 24kGoldn’s “Mood,” featuring Iann Dior, Omer Fedi ranks at No. 1 on four of Billboard‘s songwriter and producer charts (dated Nov. 21).
Fedi rules Alternative Songwriters for a fourth week; Rock & Alternative Songwriters chart for a second week; and Rock & Alternative Producers and Alternative Producers for the first time each.
Fedi reigns as “Mood” logs its 12th week atop both Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs and its fifth week atop the Hot Rap Songs chart. (He concurrently jumps 8-2 on Rap Songwriters and 5-2 on Rap Producers.) As previously reported, “Mood” is the first song to have topped Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Alternative Songs and Hot Rap Songs.
Notably, he co-produced “Mood” with Blake Slatkin and K.Beazy and co-wrote it with 24kGoldn, Iann Dior, Slatkin and K.Beazy.
Fedi also debuts at No. 4 on the all-genre Hot 100 Songwriters chart and No. 7 on Hot 100 Producers, as “Mood” tallies its fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (bolstered by its new Justin Bieber and J Balvin remix).
Additionally aiding Fedi’s debut on Hot 100 Songwriters and Hot 100 Producers are two songs by The Kid Laroi. “So Done,” which Fedi co-produced with Khaled Rohaim and co-wrote with Rohaim and The Kid Laroi, leads at No. 59 (up from No. 97), followed by “Always Do,” which Fedi co-produced with Rohaim, Donn Robb and Haan and co-wrote with The Kid Laroi, Billy Walsh, Haan and Donn Robb, (debuts at No. 83).
The weekly Hot 100, Rock & Alternative and Alternative Songwriters and Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on each respective song chart. As with Billboard’s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
